It would be nice to meet someone who enjoys their life as much as I enjoy mine. This is the time in my life to relax and enjoy it. My son is grown and on his own and now I am a proud mammoh which is Irish Celtic for grandma. They visit and we like our time together. What more could I ask for? At my age, I have learned to try and avoid any unnecessary drama, and I do not allow those who have attempted to cause such havoc in my realm to reside rent-free in my head.

I'd like to take all the pressure off by saying I'm interested in getting to know someone by going places together and doing things we enjoy. If we fancy each other enough it would naturally grow into a mutual loving relationship. I've met a few gentlemen since I've been single but there hasn't been a special guy who I enjoyed enough to bring home to meet my dog and cats (not your typical cat lady here as two are quite enough). I'm looking forward to the day that happens.

Some of interests include, but not limited to: cooking, baking, gardening, crafting, day/weekend trips taking the roads less traveled, after having lived in Tampa and on the coast of North Carolina I am more partial to the mountains and love going to various festivals there, music is an integral part of my life and I love all of it (taking exception to Disco - loathed it then and despise it now) - first loves of music would have to be Dem Blues, Dem Blues and Classic Rock, dining in/dining out, watching movies, walking, camping, wine tastings, intellectual debates, listening to local live bands/musicians, Ren Faires, all things Irish and Scotish Celtic, and many others. I have been described as multidimensional but that would remain to be seen by you!

I prefer to allow things to take their own natural flow in life as placing pressure on situations like relationships don't bode very well, or at least not for me.

I am NOT a small girl. If you are seeking thin, average, small, petite then I am NOT the one. Some guys have no issue with it, some guys don't. Perhaps there is something about others that would be my cuppa. If you have no problems with my size then feel free to contact me. If you do, then that's alright as well as I'm sure I would not desire to hear from you. When you do send a message, please try to be original and creative. If I receive a "hello there", I will reply back with a one-two word response myself as this will clearly indicate to me that you are not capable of initiating a decent chat. And, if you do not understand the art of conversation online, how on earth, wind, and fire could I expect you to have a better level of such in real life? I like smart men who can actually have a conversation.

I want to make it abundantly clear that because my username is PurpleHaze it is NOT indicative that I am into drugs of any sort. Period! I use this particular name in homage of the greatest axe slinger of all times - Mr. Jimi Hendrix. Also, because I describe my personality as that of being "hippie" does not mean that I actually live some of the lifestyle associated with the hippie movement back in the day. It means that while I do adhere to some of the philosophy, again, this does NOT indicate that I am associated with drugs, nor do I associate with anyone who partakes in them.
