Harper (Tye Sheridan) is a rich kid in law school, with everything going for him, except for the fact that his mother lies in a coma following a car crash. Harper blames his stepfather for his mother’s state. While in a bar one evening, he meets a thug called Johnny Ray (Emory Cohen) who offers to kill Vincent (Stephen Moyer), Harper’s stepfather, for just $20,000. In his drunken state, Harper readily agrees to this proposition. The next morning, Harper reconsiders, but Ray declares there is no turning back. As they drive to Vegas, Harper tries to figure a way out of his predicament.
