I'm a chubby bunny in search of a 'cuddly teddy bear' who likes to dance in the rain, have meaningful conversations, and appreciates the goodness in life. I'm a retired Speech and Language Pathologist but continue with hobbies - catering and providing specialty cakes/desserts for all occasions. Other hobbies include sewing, knitting, stained glass, tole painting, jewelry making, and a few others. I love to dance, swim, roller skate, ice skate, and snowmobile. I never got the hang of water skiing and did okay at snow skiing. Now I'm looking for a warmer climate to relocate to, in the next few years. In my spare time, I'm still fixing up my 180-year-old farmhouse. I live in The Thousand Islands, where the salad dressing was created.

I have a son locally, who's in his mid 30's and is a talented graphic designer, as well as a 'fixer' and builder of computers. My foster daughter lives in San Diego with her family, and she's gorgeous - she's half Achomowi Pit River and half Paiute. I was my elderly father's caretaker, and he recently passed on, so now I'm free to sell my old farmhouse, travel, and look for a warmer climate to relocate to. I'm looking forward to having a year-round herb garden and strawberries.

I still teach in the Culinary Arts Field - Gourmet Cooking, Baking, International Cuisine, and Cake Decorating. I volunteer at our Urban Mission wherever they need me - Food Pantry, Intake, working with the homeless, the BackPack Program for underprivileged school-age youth, plus other events there. I'm involved with the Getting Ahead and Staying Ahead Programs and am currently serving on a focus committee on how best to survey, and implement grant money, to improve the lives of addicts, and those who live in poverty, in our community. My biggest weakness is rescuing animals - most recently a 10-year-old stray kitty with a heart murmur. He was a true sweetheart, and it was difficult to end his suffering with dignity, but I know I gave him the best last year of his life.

I'm spiritual, not religious, and try to live by the Golden Rule, and Don Ruiz's Agreements. I'm very politically active and feel that all of our citizens need support (not just the 1%), and advocate for the rights of all individuals, species, etc. If you supported the 'Criminal-in-Chief' we just booted out of the White House, we probably wouldn't do well together.

I'm looking for a gentle heart, honesty, companionship, a best friend, and perhaps more in time. I think we all deserve joy and contentment in our golden years.
